ACORN chief executive Bertha Lewis said in a written statement that she was "ordering a halt to any new intakes into ACORN's service programs until completion of an independent review."
This scandal may be "indefensible", but that didn't stop ACORN from coming up with a different defense each day.
So far we've heard...
* Videos are fake (then why did they fire the first 4 people caught on those Videos) * First Video is isolated incident (they said that then 3 more from 3 different cities turned up with more on the way.) * We're outraged, by the false claims in these videos, and going to sue (Bring it on says Reitbart and Fox) * Our worker will sign an affidavit claiming innocence. (On the video she's bragging about what a great liar she is). * The evil right wing is picking on us. (Tough tomatas toots. Stop breaking the law, and they'll stop showing you doing it, would be my guess).
So today's defense for the indefensible is "these things we got caught doing, but claimed didn't happen, actually did happen, and gee, they're horrible, but we the angelic leaders of the organization, are in no way responsible. However we'll have an in-house inquiry, and find out which minimum wage employees need to be thrown under the bus with the first four".
Pretty good for a bunch of faked videos shown on a program run by a crazy guy seen on a network no one watches. How's MSNBC going to spin this one? Nothing happened but suddenly their fighting for their lives?
Everyone working for Acorn is corrupted and morally bankrupted just as everyone who attends tea parties is a racist bigot who wants to return segregation and repeal the 13th amendment.

Do you notice how careful media is never to describe Hannah Giles as a journalism student, which is what she is? They worry it might offer some sort of validation.
MSNBC describes her as "a friend" of conservative film maker, James O'keefe, even though this whole sting was her idea. It was her who found O'Keefe, and talked him into it. She thought O'Keefe would be into it, so she went to him with her idea. O'keefe, is a conservative activist whose done these gotcha, hidden camera exposes before, so the MSM prefers to present him as the mastermind. They try to minimize the role of Hannah the Hottie. You won't hear the name Hannah Giles on an MSM report unless they can dig up some dirt on her.
Those who have heard the whole story, or read Hannah's reports at BigGovernment, though, are starting to think she's a bit of a hero.
Don't believe me? Go here, and start reading the Twitter box.
Actually, I hope she can stay in the shadows. If the MSM start to think the Right has a new hero they'll Palinize her.
"I'm shocked! Shocked to find gambling going on here!"
Oh, oh, I've got it. I know. I know. Casablanca right?

Don't these MSM guys get tired of being made to look like idiots?
Still ahead of the idiots who watch their programming though.
Or the ones who demand an MSM source as support for the argument.
"Those unedited videos showing factual occurrences are muckraking. Stop posting them. Only the edited clips CNN finally posted matter."
