Kenny is Liberal but he's also one of the Libs who was around when Chrtien put us there and he also voted for the Manley mission extension. He's been a mision supporter for a long time and if he's playing politics now then he's a really big douche bag with no sense of honor.

He probably smelled a election and thought, "Hey I'll dial up the liberal rhetoric in Montreal and maybe get a few anti conservative votes going."

    **edited for spelling*** grrr

The most hawkish of the Liberals it said. I don't think that means a hill of beans. Well we know the liberal platform on A-stan anyway.

Well I support the troops it is time to consider a slow withdrawal or a bigger role for the Afghanis to do . This mission could go on and on if we let it even Americans are calling to get out . And just what were the goals again :?

    Wow. He's fuckin' Captain Obvious!

It was sure at the start that we wouldn't be able to do it. Billions after, this dude finally come at the same conclusion that everybody already knew.

    No shit it's obvious.
But I hope they find a concentration of Taliban and let our troops go on one hell of a blowout offensive before we pullout. It makes us all sick their just getting picked off like sitting ducks by these chickenshits.
And it's not like Vietnam. They had the balls to keep up real military attacks even if they lost them all, right to the end.

I supported our involvement initially, but it's become obvious that there is no way to actually win this.

What is the end goal and how do we achieve it?

How and when do we leave?

It's impossible to win when you’re fighting an insurgency, and I think we've lost enough. The purpose of our being there was to remove the Taliban. We (NATO) can't do it. We don't know who or where they all are and unless somebody is already negotiating a peace with them, it's only going to cost us more lives.

You mean you supported the mission when the Liberals were in charge but now your blind and sudden hatred for Harper has you changing your mind? Did you hit your head recently?

It was only with Harper did Canadians get a vote and an exit strategy. Who knows how long we'd be there if the Libs were still in power.

And you're suggesting Harper was opposed to our involvement. How are you planning to spin this one?

Oh but you did, and have many times in the past. The decision that was made by the Liberal government at the time was wholly supported by the same Conservatives you pray to now. Was it wrong for the Liberals even though the Cons wanted the same thing? Is it ok for the COns and not ok for the Liberals?

You often criticize the "other guys" when they do exactly the same as Harper does now and you can't see the repeated hypocrisy of your position?

Have you recently hit YOUR head?
