The flyer, sent from Vancouver Centre MP Hedy Fry, depicts a tattered Canadian flag and what could be taken to be a soldier's ruck sack, alongside the statement: "We used to wear it with pride."
Thats a bit of the stretch, it doesnt look like any military ruck sack and it looks like it was packed with civi kit. Just another anti-afghanistan flyer, its just odd coming from the libs who sent us there.

Im guessing someone in the Lib office thinks that the Canadian military is giving Canada a bad rep. Must be why the Americans and NATO are begging us to stay....
Well it might be a stretch but I'm wondering if the connotation was being subtly made by the ambiguity of the ad. Being a black and white picture doesn't help. Now while anybody reasonably knowledgable of our military would recognize that isn't an army issued ruck sack, I think too many people would infer that's who the ad is referring to. It's ambiguous enough to allow people to draw their own conclusions about the message. Maybe a travel ticket of some sort or a postcard from Europe in the pic would have helped clear it up. Either way, I get the impression it was deliberately misleading.

Hehe the worst place in Canada to send it was Oromocto, the only major employer in that town is CFB Gagetown. If you’re not working for the military, you’re in the service sector catering to military families.

Short memories.
Same flag, proudly worn.
I don't know if the Libs still support the troops in Afghanistan though.

They only supported the troops when they were in power. Now that the Conservatives are in power, its war mongering.

I'll buy that for a dollar!
