NATO's secretary general, who recently ruffled feathers by urging Canada to extend its combat mission in Afghanistan beyond 2011, quietly scuttled a planned visit to Ottawa that was supposed to take place over the last few days.

Hmmm NATO is starting to piss me off more and more lately with their poltical snubbing of Canada. We devote our military to them to fight in Afghanistan, and as soon as we give them a reasonable pull out date they treat us like this? Fuckem.

I'd say giving NATO's only North American strategic command to a guy from fair weather ally France was a much bigger slight.

Yet no one seems to report it as such...

Basicly because that has been known for months, ever since they told McKay to piss up a rope when he put his name in the hat.

All it would be is some whiney ass Euro-wimp begging Canada to stay while expecting to be treated like royalty. I donn't see the loss here.
These same wimps refuse to accept that our parliament voted to pull us out yet they accept that France, Germany, Italy and so many other governments won't let their troops get near a fight. NATO is becoming just another UN.

I'm not talking about McKay and Rasmussen, I'm talking about this:

    This is new.

We should quit NATO the moment we are out of A-stan. I see no need why we must pay for that paper tiger facade.

We definately should stay in NORAD though.

NORAD was made obsolecent with DHS.

A lot of Americans think the same about NORAD. Ungrateful bastards.
