It's not so much that he resigned but how the hell did he get appointed in the first place?
Its the "new" and "changed" politics of America. Or something.
Even in defeat, they just don't get it. The man was a loon and never should have been let close to the levers of power and his association with the president should be a wakeup call.

He can't even figure out that your past is still your past and no matter how you dress a pig up, it's still a pig. The guy definately lives in his own little world, disconnected from reality.
Radial lefties like him don't resign, so, I'm betting dollars to donuts that he didn't "resign" but was politely asked to, by the Obama administration.
