The federal immigration minister says he's frustrated at difficulties in deporting dangerous foreign criminals from Canada, adding changes to the law may be needed as lengthy delays and appeals could undermine public confidence in the system.

    If the Liberals win the election Tran will be granted Canadian citizenship and given a full pension.

    I feel it is important to deport people for the correct reasons and with the appropriate amount of proof.

    As a person that is law abiding, I would not want to be deported for a crappy reason that was used to get rid of the bad guys.
