    Just thought i'd upload this as the soldier is a good friend of mine and we serve in the same Regiment. This took place quite a few months ago and he is just recently out of hospital.

    Hey Newfy, are most of the Brit FAC's AAC?

    And I take this guy is up for a gong, MM or the like?

    No actually most FAC's are Artillery but anyone can be trained to do it, plus specialist units like the Royal Marines will have their own. There are only 2 or 3 guys in the AAC that I know of that are FAC's, but I believe all our pilots are trained to do it in some form.

    As far as gongs go there hasn't been anything said officially yet but i've heard he's up for something. He should, he more than earned it.

    Yep definately. He was in a pretty bad way when I first spoke to him. He basically had 2 holes where there should only be 1 plus a chunk missing from his arm and other shrapnel wounds. But all good now.
