Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan is expected to announce that Michael Gough, a former long-term lawyer at Toronto law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, is resigning as chairman, according to sources close to the situation.
OLG board resigns, CEO fired amid spending scandal
The entire board of the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation has resigned and its CEO has been fired after the Ontario government discovered questionable spending at the executive level.
Its about time the dumped that idiot from OLG.. its the biggest racket going.. can't trust them now and never could. They all got wealthy on ordinary peoples money.. you can't trust the store owners either.. everyone is on the take.. must be related to mulroney lol
Thanks EyeBrock, good response.. with some people its an issue because its the libs in power in Ontario.. poor management by those put in these positions can't be predicted by any party.
Exactly Ken. I'm no fan of McGuinty but as others have said, the E-Health thing has ensured little tolerance of this stuff in Ontario. Good to see Dalton going in hard.
"EyeBrock" said Once again.. Our money, his friends. Looks like someone learned fast from the E-health scandal.
So what do you suggest they do?
Are you even in Ontario? What does it matter to you? Local issue, move along.
Ok, next time we're talking about Native issues take your own advice.
Fair enough? Oh wait, you’re going to take some issue with that because you’re a hypocrite. I'm pretty sure that's what that blue C has meant for a very, very long time.
"ridenrain" said This was the right move but it's fast and sudden and makes me wonder what it's hiding.
It's the result of a 'freedom on information' request from the new Tory leader. It will be something similar to E-Health but at least they (The Libs) have been proactive this time. Good to see.
Natives live in Ontario. I live in Ontario. You don't.
Humm, well since we obviously have no lottery out west here and we obviously have no experience with the same issues. And I bet that CEO and the board thought exactly the same way you do and that is why they are out of a job.
And it was just the other day you were pm'ing me trying to be my friend. How sad and pathetic are you.
Wow.
