"It just looks like misadventure, like an accident of some sort," Orlovski said. "There's no criminality involved."
Sure there's ciminality involved... Break & Enter or Trespassing at least.
You'd be suprised at how many people die from sneaking into other people's pools late at night.... which is why there are laws and regulations in place to have them fenced off in the first place.
I had some teenage neighbors sneak into the backyard and into the pool at my old house, whom thought everybody took off for the week to head out west on Vacation.
Everybody did, except my ex and myself.... heard a little bit of giggling and splashing over in the deep end and I guess the ex caught them without their clothes on and told them they got 5 minutes to get their damn clothes and leave before the cops get called.
I think they took off in about 30 seconds.
We wern't really going to call the cops, as I think they were pretty embarassed being caught naked in a pool that wasn't theirs, and never asked to come into in the first place.
And I certainly wasn't going to lifeguard their asses while the skinny dipped in my damn pool late at night, they could come back tomorrow in the day with their damn clothes on if they like.
Of course I never saw them over again, so it all worked out.
"ridenrain" said Gotta say it would feel kinda creepy having a pool that someone died in.
Meh, I'd just add a bit more chlorine, PH mix and some shock, let er run for a week or so and should be fine.
When you think about it.... how many people died at the local beach over the years?
If someone died in the pool at my old home, I doubt it'd bug me much and I'd still swim in it. Of course if their bowels released and left a few rolling logs, I'd have to give it some extra time to clean.
I had someone puke in my pool once.... that was just nasty. Stringy pink chunky bits floating around.
