VANCOUVER -- Former gang members in British Columbia who want to leave their lifestyle behind and get rid of their gang-affiliated tattoos can get some help from the RCMP in paying for the laser procedure.

Its easier and cheaper to tattoo over it. It won't leave scars either.

It's a good idea. Turning folks is the best way to get into gangs and once they get the details, these folks need to be hidden and safe. Huge, garish gang tattoos are tough to explain.
