Seriously folks this could happen to ANYONE, people fuck around all the time in storms and take their chances, I know 2 people who've been struck and it ain't pretty, all they can tell me is that if theres visable lightning outside, stay in and if your already outside find shelter.
One guy I know was struck, he pulled into a stores parking lot just as it started raining (heavy rain) and was walking to the door of the store and was struck, despite power poles and trees nearby that were taller (it went through the metal button on his ball cap).
I don't go out in lightning.
