Holmes says there have been a number of boats within the restricted area, saying they're 'lining up' to get a look. He adds that pilots fighting the fire are battling a number of factors and don't need the added hassle of navigating between boats.

    Common sense is usually light years away from that mob of partying idiots that infests the Okanagan every summer. I haven't been there in 20 years thanks to those bozos and it looks like I sure haven't missed very much since.

    Just confiscate their boats, sell them for funds to support the efforts of the firefighters. Post the rules, then take their boats.

    Dumbass boaters. I say sink with a load or two of water. After a couple of $30,000 boats are sunk, the message will get out.
