The federal government has found no proof that a woman stranded in Kenya because she didn't look like the photo on her Canadian passport is actually a Canadian citizen, Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said Friday.

    It would seem to me tha a Thumb/Fingerprint should be part of a Passport. Perhaps not on the Physical Passport, but in the Electronic Database. People's appearances change for many reasons.

    Privacy watch groups believe that having fingerprints on files for ID is an invasion of privacy. Only reason I can see for having a problem with my fingerprints on file would be if i planned on doing something illegal. Otherwise having my fingerprints doesn't bother anymore than having a picture of me.

    There certainly seems to be an excess of non-white Canadian Citizens who are out of the country that the government seems to want to ignore lately....... Wonder why?
