Arrests made in Kingston canal deaths

Police have made arrests in connection with the mysterious deaths of three Montreal sisters and their older female relative, whose car was found in late June submerged in water near a Rideau Canal lock in Kingston, Ont., CBC News learned Wednesday.

    I'm curious to see the outcome, last I heard this was supposed to be a driving lessoon gone wrong, now they are laying charges.

    It will be very interesting for sure.. and the drownings at Gananoque this past week-end are very suspcious as well..

    Looks like arrests are being made and it is being suggested that it was "honour killings". :roll:

    Ya.. they caught them at the Montreal air port trying to flee the country..
    someone needs to get on the case of the people who supposedly drowned in Gananaoque.
    no autopsy, and the bodies are on the way to Pakistan.. jeeze!

    This is a very sad case. I don't know if this really is a typical 'honour' killing.
    I'm thinking more 'domestic' and the wife looks key in this.

    Killing four is just very different from the pattern we have seen.

    I think writing it off to religion etc is too easy.
    There is more to this, it's written all over the Kingston investigators faces.

    It will be interesting for sure.. but these Muslims have to get the message that this is not allowed or accepted in Canada.. if they don't play by the rules then deport them. There is still a trial waiting for the guy who killed his daughter in the Toronto area because she refused to wear the hijab..

    I don't think "Muslim" has anything to do with this either. It's a criminal act. Not a religious one.

    What planet are you on? Do you listen to the news.. these Muslims kill their women if they dishonour the family.. Wearing the hijab is a religious issue and so is the killing of infidels.. ie anyone who is not Muslim.. You might want to do some research on the subject. Tonights news says these killings are on the rise in Canada and they are getting away with it... Its all Muslim.. get real!

    The revolution began on April 20, 1963, with Molotov cocktails and dynamite time bombs that targeted Anglo Quebeckers. Bombs were planted in mailboxes in the Westmount neighborhood in Montreal, and a police explosives expert was maimed while trying to disarm one of them. A night watchman a month from retirement was killed by a bomb planted in an Army recruiting office in Sherbrooke. A passerby and a gun-shop owner were killed in another incident.


    The Front de Lib�ration du Qu�bec (Quebec Liberation Front), commonly known as the FLQ, was a nationalist and Marxist revolutionary group in Quebec, Canada with at least two terrorist cells. It was responsible for more than 200 bombings, including the bombing of the Montreal Stock Exchange in 1969 and the deaths of at least five people. These attacks culminated in 1970 with what is known as the October Crisis, in which British Trade Commissioner James Cross was kidnapped and Quebec Labour Minister Pierre Laporte was murdered. Founded in the early 1960s, it supported the Quebec sovereignty movement.

    FLQ members practiced propaganda of the deed and issued declarations that called for a Marxist insurrection in the view of which the oppressors were identified with Anglo-imperialists, the overthrow of the Quebec government, the independence of Quebec from Canada and the establishment of a French-speaking Quebecer "workers' society". The organization was also influenced by other movements, such as those for the independence of former colonies such as Algeria, Vietnam and Cuba.



    What planet are you on? Do you listen to the news.. these Quebecers killed people for being English. Seperatism was a political issue... and killng Anglos ie anyone who is not Franco. You might want to do some research on the subject. At one point, news said these killings were on the rise in Canada and they were getting away with it... Its all Franco.. get real!

    Bang on Kenmore! We need more right thinking people such as yourself to direct the country on how to judge the whole when we respond to the atrocious activities of a few!
