When I was A Sea Cadet with RCSCC STORMONT in Cornwall in the 60's (yes the 60's) I did a sailing on her.. she was a beautiful ship back in the day and what an experience it was to be part of the crew for that short time
"llama66" said will they reactivate her or scuttle/scrap her?
Seems the DND bought her bacl for one dollar again and will decide if it will do the reef thing with it of restore etc.. that may take another 12 years lol
My Dad (retired Navy) was part of the crew who spent the past 3 months trying to get the piece of shit ready to make the tow to Halifax harbour, if they run into any type of even moderate seas, the ship is toast, it barely floats anymore.

Indeed... the thing has been tied up at dock for years with nothing being done with it, rusting out.
Another option mentioned in the news yesterday, besides turning it into a reef or restoring it, was to strip it down and reuse it for scrap.

Navy is not in the business of scrapping. Likely she'll be used as a target.

Won't reactivate.
Chances are, they'll use her as a target if she's too far gone.
