That is Awesome thefirst nations are showing the to everybody else. The only question I have is that how much of that money is coming from the government and how much of there own money is being spent. Since everybody else has to have the money out of there own wallets. First nations going with windmills and organic garden is what I learnt from this website solarischeaper.net but what are they driving big 4x4 gas guzzlers.

Cool. I hope it works out well. This is not the best part of the world for using Solar Panels, so there are some potential pitfalls.

I'm actually sort of disappointed. Going by the title of this thread I was hoping this thread to be about them using a magnifying glass to kill some ants and then accidentally burning an entire casino down. Call me a crazy bigot if you want to but "Natives + solar power" kind of runs in the same vein as "Monkey + hand grenade".

Solar panels in an area that is overcast pretty much constantly from October to April? While it might work on a micro scale in a small community like that it's not a viable solution on a regional (never mind provincial)level, especially considering the costs.

hehe, speaking of which: Back when I was Religious I remember reading a Pro-Christian book that was discussing numerous things from the Bible. One such thing was discussion about the Ark of the Covenant and the claim was that someone built an exact replica exactly as the Bible described. Their findings were astonishing, so it was claimed. Supposedly it created vast amounts of Electricity, enough to kill anyone who touched it, thus explaining the whole "Don't touch it/carry it with wood poles" hubbub in the Bible.

So if we want cheap, Clean, Eternal Energy, all we have to do is capture God in a box and plug in! Since God is Omnipresent, we can do it in everyones basement!! Hell, we can also power Cars, Planes, Boats with it!!!!!!!

Seal it with Stickers and Warnings to only be opened by trained and authorized personnel.
