Wife killer's sentence 'a joke'

EDMONTON -- A northern Alberta man who shot his wife dead with a sawed-off rifle from extremely close range was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison yesterday.

An accident is when you have a fender bender in your car.

Any moron knows that you only point a waepon at something you intend to shoot. The gun goes off you wait 20 minutes before going for help. That is what 911 is for not cold french fries or you girl friend kicks you in the groin.

He got off real easy.

He should get life, also good luck barring him from owning a gun if he is a Native (I'm guessing he is because of where he lived)

Court heard Halcrow has a lengthy criminal record consisting of violent and gun-related offences, including an assault conviction for hitting Dickie with a shovel and holding her face in the snow until she couldn't breathe.

That alone, should have been enough for the judge to laugh at the accidental claim...what a load of bullshit. God I hate our justice system in this country....fuck this pisses me off.

I have known Sandy Hamilton/Hope/ Parks for many years. She was hooked up with a friend of mine for 6 years. If 'you' ended up with her as a lawyer, you were pretty well fucked! She always struck me as only being involved in the legal profession for the money and the prestige. Seems she has carried this attitude with her to the bench.
