The first edition of the 2009 season TSN Power Rankings were released on Tuesday, and the undefeated Montreal Alouettes topped the list with flying colours. The Saskatchewan Roughriders were ranked second, coming off a 46-36 win over the Toronto Argona

    Year after year the whole league proves to fans that standings and opinions at the beggining of the season don't ammount to squat

    Yes but it allows for the fans to get into the spirit. Trash-talking and stat watching keep interest and hence ticket sales and viewership up. Sure early winning and/or losing streaks are often a bad judge of who will be in the playoffs and who will be in the Grey cup but anything that fires up the fans is a good thing.

    Agreed, I just don't put much stock in it, though I'd surely be waving my Stamps flag if they were listed #1 right now. Good thing is that based on history I shouldn't have to worry about their crappy start.
