The study by researchers at Keele University found that volunteers were able to withstand pain for longer when they swore compared to when they used words which were not offensive.

Its very therapeutic. Especially when you are screaming at your team give up penalty after penalty after penalty.

Laughing at your friend that hurt himself helps him with the pain too.

Swearing was very effective in reducing the pain when I broke my ankle...."Gimmie the fucking morphine, RIGHT FUCKING NOW, Doc, or I won't be the only one in this cock-sucking room with a broken bone."

I call bullshit. If this was true they're wouldn't be a sailor in the world with pain at any time. and I'd have been pain fucking free for the past 30 years. As it is I can barely fucking straighten up from the disc's in my fucking back that are disintigrating.

    Holy shit the pains gone....................NOT.

I actually prefer laughter. It might not do much, but it freaks the hell out of everyone around you.

We needed a fucking study for this. Any injury I have ever had felt better immediately after a few choice words.
