If we had saved something during the good days, we would not be in this situation. It is sad to know that we could have almost $165 billion in the HTF, instead of the $15 billion we have now.

Kind of ironic too that the $650M shortfall in healthcare is roughly equal to the amount collected in AHC premiums that were eliminated Jan 1st.

You'd think the return of those were still an option, unless they want to use it as FUD for the 'sustainability' myth.

Now everyone keep in mind here that no new taxes doesn't equate to no new service charges in any governments eyes. No there will not be a new provincial sales tax but don't be surprised when it costs $400 to renew your vehicle registration

Like McGuintys Health Care Tax, oops Premium, here in Ontario. Or any number of fees that Czar Miller dumped on Torontonians. No new taxes but lots of "user fees".
