Who voted on this?

I take it they don't keep a carbon copy? Smart...
There's a law that says these documents must be kept for seven years. I wonder how much more Liberal corruption we're going to put up with in BC? Why can't we get a government in BC that isn't corrupt? It's the same no matter what party we vote for.
Four years worth of old e-mails would have required tens of thousands of floppy disks to store them on. As no one oculd supply that volume of floppy disks now that they are obsolete, the decision was made to destroy the e-mails and save tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars.
It was another fiscally prudent BC Liberal decision.
The public need not worry about his happening again as all the 'new' e-mails are CD and DVD compatible.
This was not corruption, it was a proper decision.

I can't tell if you are joking or not. Who backs up with floppies? Even in 2001.
R u serious Ruez? We still use !
Who's we? You're not talking about e-mail.

You've been following the show^W trial too I take it.
What a farce. Judge Bennet should preside over the trial of the Mounties who perjered themselves (if!) over tazering Djkanski, and the circle would be complete. I've been suspecting that if convicted (which will never happen) then Basi and Virk will simply appeal based on their often delayed trial, and win a complete acquital. This email bullshit is just another bump along the way.
It's just amazing, the crap that has gone on in that courtroom.
seriously.. it would be nice to have an opposition that wasn't bug-nuts crazy. Can someone in the NDP please remove Carol and come up with something that isn't another 5 year plan of class war?

Know what I find more amazing? Nobody cares. I mean you gotta give some props to Gordo for that one. The first time ever that the BC Legislature was ever served with a warrant, the stink of corruption and kickbacks at very high levels and...nothing. Poor Glen Clark finagled a deal on his frickin' house deck and had to quit. But Gordo--comes out smellin' like roses. That is a politician.
I'm not one for dire prognostications, but having watched teh Air India trial, this BC Rail business, teh Reena Virk murder trial, I gotta say that our court system is busted here in BC.
