Microsoft launched a beta version of its forthcoming free antivirus software on Tuesday, aiming to protect users who, for one reason or another, have not installed security applications on their computers from other providers.
I haven't had a virus affect me since the 90's and I only run Microsoft operating systems
I don't have any anti-virus installed, every couple months I do an online virus scan.
I am going to install this beta though, I like trying new software & I like that there is a 63bit version. I will disable it from active protection and auto-startup though, I hate having stuff running that i don't need.
Keep us busy this summer....
Good announcement. Now all the dopes will download and install Microsoft AntiVirus 2009.

Me either. Then my step-daughter used my computer for half an hour.
Not available in Canada.
Yes it is? I downloaded and installed it just fine, never asked me about my country anywhere.
Shrug. Maybe there was a bug early on, I tried the same day it came out...
