Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said Canada will not remain silent on the political situation in Iran after Tehran added Canada to a list of countries that it says is meddling in its internal affairs.

Unfortunately given the history of US -Iranian history it probably isn't wise for us to do the same kinds of things that you are doing. The hardliners would love to blame this on the "Great Satan" and take it out on the protesters as counter revolutionary activities.

Canada is in a position to promote democracy there and is doing so.

Canada, I am proud of you.

It's almost amazing though. I never imagined Canada would grow some balls in foreign policy. The different items that started with Israel, and now this? Good job Canada, good job.

I didn't know Canada was Iranian politics in the first place. The govts chance to act bravado?
