OTTAWA — Leaders of Canada’s largest political parties pledged yesterday to increase the number of women in the House of Commons as a public opinion poll found Canadians want to see more women in Parliament.
I know, I makes no sense at all. I support more women in government but women don't seem to overly aspire to politics. Maybe because it's too demanding as far as hours and such go.
It reminds me of the people here saying that if we don't vote for Pauline Marois (PQ leader), we are sexist.
Hey, she's incompetent with old socialist ideas ! She scrapped all the ministers she went in (finance, education, health). I vote for competence, not for the sex of the person.
Well I am all for women in government. But they have to be elected and that means they have to receive the nomination from their riding association. I attend my riding assoc meetings and there is only 1 female who attends. She says is difficult to get women to actually join and get involved. I think its getting harder to find people in general to get involved. I was talking to staff in our lunch room the other day about the chance that their might be a federal election and to my surprise ( well not really) 3 of them didn't know who the PM was!
wtf is that ?
Well.... vote for women lol
wtf is that ?

Maybe the good ones are at home raising their kids.
Either that or they are either too smart or too honest to become a politician.
