You'll see the animations the article refers to then a video of various hunters clubbing the seals during the hunt.
Also on the website you'll see a mascot holding a sign that reads "Boycott Canadian Maple Syrup"
Is 85% of Maple Syrup really produced in Canada?
We're venturing off topic here CD but yes, that's probably about right, almost all of it from Quebec. PURE 100% maple syrup is the only way to go. That maple flavored crap that most people use is garbage. The pure stuff is much more expensive but the only thing I'll put on french toast. I rarely, if ever, order anything in a restaurant that I would put maple syrup on simply because I refuse to use the fake syrup, it's disgusting. I use a fair amount of maple syrup in my BBQ basting sauce for chicken/veggie kabobs too - yummy!
PETA crossing a line? They'd never do
No, they dance on it.
PETA members should be beaten with baby seals, covered in Maple syrup and dropped off in Griz country...of course this is just my opinion.
You're a fucking spectacular woman.

I hate that fake stuff too. We have a maple tree farm about 1 mile from my house so we usually pick 100% syrup up from there every once in a while. But once you have that stuff, the fake stuff is crap.
We actually have maple trees in our yard and I always wanted to tap them...but I would have no idea on what to do next
Could always look it up. Wikipedia could probably tell you how.
And I think we should push PETA to boycott Canadian oil, electricity, and water. See if they'd be crazy enough to do that.

I'd say that's about right.
I financed quite a few of them.
Some "farms" had 20 to 40 thousand maple trees.
For a few weeks every year, I would visit 3-4 of them a day and more on the weekends.
I'd was on a 3-week sugar rush and I'm surprised that I don't have diabetes today.
The best early spring drink was white rum or vodka mixed with hot reduced sugar sap.
I once had a few of those outside in the cold.
When I went inside and hit the hot air from the boilers, both my knees stopped working and I dropped to the ground.
