Sources confirm to TSN that the New Jersey Devils will announce today that head coach Brent Sutter is stepping down, citing personal and family reasons.
I'm kind of against it, mostly because I don't think teams should be run by family nepotism. If this doesn't pan out, and the boys go one-and-done again in the next two seasons, all that's gonna happen is that Darryl will get fired along with his brother. I'd far prefer they made an offer to Peter Laviolette instead. At least he's got a recent Cup win under his belt. Lots of guys have good minor league coaching records but it doesn't mean squat in the big league where the players aren't as easy to scare.
Why can I post here but not through the forums...screwy and confusing
