CALGARY- After accepting an invitation to ride in a gay pride parade in Edmonton, Culture and Community Minister Lindsay Blackett has bowed out to instead appear at the official opening of an LRT station in his Calgary ridin
Either to ride in a gay pride parade in Edmonton or to appear at the official opening of an LRT station in his Calgary riding. Not really a hard decision to make there for a politician, you have to go where the votes are.
Having lived in a neighbourhood close to a C-Train station I think I'd rather have a gay pride parade go down my street once a day then ever again have to put up the shit that happens around those damn train platforms. I didn't mind the noise from the train but it was the non-stop noise/stupidity/criminality of some of the two-legged vermin that uses public transit to get around town for their nefarious deeds that I found intolerable. Don't even ask me about what it was like during Stampede Week when, to try to keep as many of the drunk driver yahoos off the road as possible, they have the trains running 24 hours a day. I'd sooner end up in the gong show of the McMurray camps for the next ten years than go through the C-Train trauma again. Brrrr!
He seems to have switched to a better offer and they feel slighted.
If you were to find out that the LRT came first, would you take back your negative posts?
Mais oui!
Haven't we moved pass the need to have gay pride parades anyways?
They'll make it about an anti-gay issue any chance they can get.

Not where I live.
