OTTAWA -- Phil Fontaine confirmed Thursday that his days as the country's top native leader are ending -- but the notorious political animal left the door open to run as an MP.
"RUEZ" said Not really.. I just think it would be good for natives to elect MPs...
MP's are elected by everyone in their riding, to represent everyone in their riding.
I know how it works.. I am a card carrying liberal and attend my riding meetings.. what I meant was that it would be good for a native to run and be elected.. by the same process as everyone else... unless harper wants to put him in the senate
He will be a good asset for the liberals for sure
Judging by his political bullying and one trick pony message, he'll also be good for the CPC.
Either way it would be good to have him in parliament
Not really. The last thing we need is another recalcitrant MP raising the level of white noise.
I was thinking in terms of native representation..
My previous post still stands. Just more noise and no substance.

There are stronger and more respective Natives that should and could run....Not Fontaine..good riddens to him

Nope. Didn't see the prerequisite either. Basing it on what I've seen for the last couple of years. Lots of noise, not a lot of substance.
