^We used to do that all time. And you cant really wash plastic bags at all. Not to mention if something spills it wont evaporate or absorbed. It just stays there.
Thers always a way, Wrap meat in the little bags from the produce section, Wash cloth bags after each use, common sence stuff really. My big beef is that they want to get rid of plastic but they charge you like 3-5 bucks for the cloth bags. Oh well, nothing worthwhile is ever free.

I don't buy hamburger at Loblaws Lite. They like to pour the blood and juice over it to add weight, and then wrap it.
