A fire ban seems to be a good solution to stop all the crap from happening.
We have fire bans all over the place here. I would hazard a guess and say only 50% or less of the usual long weekend warriors came through town this year.

That sure didnt work in the castle country,we had extreme fire hazard and they started burning couches and then a car,there was way too many of them for the fish and game to do anything but watch.
They mostly focus on K country though now,too many campers and not enough cops to go around.

A 19-year-old man died and two others were stabbed in a fight between two groups of men that broke out at a family campground in Cultus Lake, B.C., on Saturday night.
The Richmond man died upon arrival at hospital, while the two other men's injuries are not life-threatening, RCMP said Sunday.
Chilliwack RCMP were called to the Sunnyside Campground at Cultus Lake — about 100 kilometres east of Vancouver — at 11:10 p.m. due to a disturbance involving two groups.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three men with stab wounds, Cpl. Dale Carr said, while the assailants had fled on foot.
"One of those victims is a park employee. He received a non-life-threatening injury. He was attempting to intervene in the altercation when he was hurt," Carr said.
"The second victim is a 20-year-old male. He is in serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He's been taken to a Metro Vancouver hospital."
A police canine unit was deployed and later tracked three suspects. The three men were in police custody in Chilliwack on Sunday with charges pending, Carr said.
Some witnesses said the altercation might have been the result of a fight over a woman.
Carr said the RCMP do not know whether all of the parties were acquainted with each other or what the motivation behind the stabbing was.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased man until next of kin can be notified.
Every single Alberta forestry campground has this problem every may long weekend,looks like its bad in BC too.

May long weekend is the worst , Canada Day if it makes a weekend and Heritage day can be just as bad. If you like to camp in Alberta just stay home on the long weekends it's not worth the hassle.

Ya,it's a shame,they come from Calgary and Lethbridge and allmost allways you see them bring couches,which they burn later.

Im starting to think the guys partying ten doors down from my room are going to burn something soon.
Glad there next to Chad's room,they got tunes cranked and beer is flowing,I bet there will be a fight later,got the cam all set up just in case.
