In a rare bright spot amid a darkening automotive landscape, workers at the General Motors' Oshawa operation are being asked to work additional shifts to meet "huge" demand for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
Sorry about the double post it's just that I'm overjoyed to see a car that is not aimed at the appliance crowd....
Yeah, but that's what got GM in the shitter in the first place: building cars that are nice cars but have NO CONSUMER DEMAND. This is just another example of building a car, that, no matter how nice it is, WILL NOT SELL. Once GM gets off the folly-wagon and STOPS building gas-guzzlers, they MAY stand a chance. No, strike that last sentence. GM is as fucked as fucked can be.
"mtbr" said Yeah those Chevy Oveos and Pontiac Pursuits are over done.
I thought the 'Pursuit' was a great name for it. 'Cause it can't actually catch or pass anything. I hated the Torrent though. Having to get a little bit from a whole bunch of dealers, then put it together yourself? Dumb idea.
Spoiling the good news is a recall order on SS models of the car. General Motors Corp. says it is recalling about 300 Camaros because a battery cable could rub against the starter motor, wearing the insulation and potentially causing the car to stop running or fail to start.
nothing ever changes at GM
GM spokesman Dan Flores says the company has made about 1,400 of the V-8 equipped 2010 Camaros and 300 have been sold. The unsold models will be fixed before they are delivered to customers. Flores says GM will tow the cars to dealers and offer free loaner vehicles and oil changes.

I guess you did not read the article... GM can't keep up with the demand for the new Camaro....It's one of the few plants where employees are working overtime....!!!!

Yeah, I did. And I'm educated enough to recognize horseshit when I read it. V-8s are what got GM into trouble. Their continued production will not help that. If you think V-8 sports cars are the answer to GM's problems, then I encourage you to get on I-trade and buy some stock. I think I'll stear clear though.
or is it just Alzheimer's?

Here's a better buy

Doesn't have the appeal of a Camaro, Mustang or Challenger... Besides it's an Hyundai...!!!!!

True it's appeal is greater. Wait till the end of the year and you'll see who comes out on top
The Genesis Coupe is being compared to 45000 dollar cars.
