Been to that Dam/Lake, you would not believe the fish the locals pull out of it, not sure what kind, but they cook them on an open flame and start knawing away on them like corn on the cob.

I remember when we discussed the fact that most military guys have no love of the Liberals and how shocked all the Libs on the forum were.

Harper is a popular guy in the CF. Iggy has it to do to get the same credibility out of a very tainted party brand.

People forget that the military is a very traditional organisation and those that ignore the traditions that build esprit-de-corps are not forgotten by soldiers.

    Ex Coelis

    Per Ardua ad Astra

And God rest to the RCN

One swallow a summer does not make. I just know that most NCO's and troops are not Liberal voters from personal experience. I spent 3 years at CFB Goose Bay when I was in the RAF and I keep in with my old mates.

I'm sure you will find the odd Liberal in the CF but in reality Liberals in the military are about as prevalent as Tories are at the CBC or CTV.

I don't recall being shocked. Not about whether or not "most military guys have no love of the Liberals".... but that they would make it an issue at such a time.

It was due to Liberal supporters on here claiming the Liberals were well liked by the military, even after being told by most military members on this site that the opposite was true.

Is that something, as a Liberal, to be proud of?

That our men and woman of the Canadian military, by and large, don't hold the Liberal Party of Canada in very good light.
