China lifted a swine flu quarantine on a group of Canadian students Wednesday, two days early, after the measure was questioned by the Canadian government and world health authorities.

This is just another example of media hype. There is a problem, but it is not threat that the media has reported; not that I trust the Chinese government. They are a bunch of thugs.

I don't think reporting on this type of issue is wrong but it was the degree and the amount of fear mongering the media did that took it way over the top. Like comparing it to the Spanish flu, now that was way out of line. Mind you the WHO was right there in the middle of it adding fuel to the fire.
