Most of Alberta?s water bombers work out of the Red Deer airport. They were doing their first test flights after winter maintenance, a week ago last Thursday and Friday. It usually takes about 2 weeks before their ready to go after you first see them. They?d be handy to have them in the air now.

I'm not worried. I'm in the next county over. Parkland.

Long cold winter means nothing has had the chance to green up yet. Brown grass makes good fuel for the fires.
