It's all because they won't give Ziggy and AR a free bag!

They pay their employees next to nothing, and they're all part time. No better than walmart.

The prices started rising with the cost of oil. Oil has gone way down and their prices keep going up and steadily. My dad just got back from Kitchener and said the prices at Sobey's were much higher than in Yarmouth even though the shipping is an extra 1,600 miles. I think they are ripping the consumer off.

You got that right, and I sure enjoy handing them a CO-OP bag to fill up. Even if I only have 1 thing to put in it.

I deal with loblaws warehousing everyday, I refuse to shop at Superstore due to many things. They contantly refuse loads for no reason, they pay shit to their employees and their warehouses in Calgary are disgusting messes.

Why would anyone be surprised by this, during the mad cow scare did the price of beef come down? How about last year when wheat was selling pennies on the bushel or even now with the pork prices being depressed. All grocers raised their prices last year blaming soaring fuel cost but now that is down, again, no savings are being passed on to the consumer.

Bunch of greedy corporate bastards I tell ya

I worked at Stupidstore back when I was in high school and I refuse to shop there too because of the way they treated their employees. I remember my break being 15 minutes but they started the clock once you let your section, so in reality you really only had about 7 or 8 minutes to scarf down your sandwich.
