I really don’t get this. Good ol’ Ted gets busted on camera taking money from Veco in a hotel room and has a track record of accepting gifts from oil firms a mile long and he’s found not guilty? Add to that the judge opens an investigation into the prosecution’s case? Wow, and we thought the Canadian judicial system was f&*%ed.

Palin wants a do-over on the Senate election.

Meh, I don't see it happening. It would help the Republicans a great deal, seeing how close the Dems are to a filibuster-proof majority, but since they so close, it's unlikely any would resign.

And I thought the guy was guilty as hell. This might just have been a case where the prosecution broke the law to get a conviction they could have gotten otherwise. I can't really pass absolute judgment without all the facts, though.

Palin won't get anything but throwing this out shows there is a new sherrif in town. Rules are now to be followed not bypassed for politcal gain. That is the message here.
