Tony-winning actress Natasha Richardson died of a brain injury after falling on a ski slope, an autopsy found Thursday.

Terrible. I always wear a helmet when I ride - powder, ice, trees, doesn't matter .. your head is your head .. it's not worth the risk

I wonder if she would have survived had she stayed in the Canadian hospital and not flown to New York?

Would it really have made a difference in this case? It was not a high-speed impact...
The brain hitting the skull would have happened with a helmet too...

I understood that she was already brain dead when they flew her to NY.

I find it all so surreal that a minor fall and bump ends in a death within a day.
