The arrests were nothing new for the annual event, which has resulted in vandalism in recent years. Last year, more than 40 people were taken into custody.

I hope the police laid a beating on them. Less savoury elements of society use these 'protests' as an an excuse to engage in vandalism and other criminal activities. If rocks and bricks are being hurled, then the police should respond with rubber and plastic bullets.

The plan is simple: provoke the police. Then, when is to happen happens, they go to the media and say: YOU SEE: POLICE BRUTALITY !

Use a fire hose on them and then pick up the frozen bodies outside the local universities and welfare offices. And no, it is not a statement about those unfortunates who really need help, but some of these 'professional' protestors.
