Yep, the French are well known for 'holding the line'. But hey, Sarkozy is at least trying. I welcome the move.

    How about France buggers off?

I mean really, we've bailed them out of both World Wars, and they're in Afghanistan, doing practically piss all while Americans, Canadians, brits and Dutch are dying in the South.

Peter MacKay was a possible to be the next NATO secretary general. This may bave been derailed a bit by Sarkozy but considering how little help France and the rest of the Euro-weenies have been in Afghanistan, I can't see Obama, Inc changing their minds.

Doubt many, nobody ever respects the Canadian military. We are like the Special Forces. Professional, well trained, and silent killers.

We take our small force into a combat, we get the job done and everybody forgets we were even involved there or what we did.

Seems the only way to get anything anymore is if you wave nukes around or tanks.
