China and America have been drawn into a rare confrontation on the high seas, it emerged today, when the Pentagon accused Chinese ships of manoeuvring dangerously close to a US navy vessel.

    According to the article the ships were all in International waters, not Chineese Territory.

    Only the Chinese are calling them territorial waters. The ship is 75 miles out and international rules say territorial waters exten out to only 12 miles from shore.

    The ship is a recon ship last I checked. The Chinese must not like having the US snooping on them. Too bad.

    Kinda sad when the only weapon you have to force ff a warship only 8 meters away is a firehose.

    Would think the US Navy is taking a lesson from the Canadian Coat Guard.

    Yeah, but usually those claims are ignored anyway. Hell Canada claims the Northwest passage, but we can't enforce that claim either.
