The 22-year-old was known to be involved in the illegal drug trade, and police believe the gun violence took place near 180th Street and 32nd Avenue, Morrow said.
Legalizing certain drugs may decrease the level of crime and violence associated with certain sectors the drug trade, but it won't eliminate it. There is still bootlegging of alcohol and the smuggling of tobacco by criminal gangs, even though both products are legal. Anyone who believes that decriminalizing any and all drugs is deluded.
Something strange here, I don't believe Calgary has had a shooting since this all started in Van. Maybe Calgary cops chased them out of the city and they headed west.

We used to send the vagrants and other welfare applicants to B.C. when my mom owned the greyhound,I used to see it all the time, they would buy them a one way to Fernie.
Sometime's Fernie would send them back but they usually didnt.

Its all to do about the drug trade...we have the BC Bud which is traded straight across for Cocaine. There is only three strains of Coke coming out of Mexico right now due to the problems there. So if you have a strain you will get gunned down.
This shooting was right out front of the Mall there...its always packed considering the huge Cineplex that is directly behind the gas station. Luckily, no one else was caught in the cross fire.
