Seal hunt ban gets icy reception in Senate

An effort by a Liberal senator to effectively ban the East Coast seal hunt was dealt a fatal blow Tuesday when not a single colleague could be found to second his motion.

Why would you put forward a bill without already having support for it???

It appears that someone didn't do their homework.....

Because anyone who wants to completely ban the seal hunt hasn't done their homework about the hunt in the first place. So for him to further assume he would automatically get support isn't much of a stretch.
