They sent be a bill after I got hit from behind...

It took months before they decided to go after the lady who rear ended my car.. (Main St. & Terminal Ave.)

Nevertheless, Vancouver is still the #1 city to live in Canada. (in my opinion) Just ride a bike.

Why do I think it's the No. city in Canada. I use to live in the West End (Nelson & Cardero) and Robson Street & Davie street with all the restaurants and shops, walk to English Bay or Stanely Park.

I like the way the lights shine off the pavement on a warm summers night after a rain fall...

Very multi-cultural city and great night life and nightclubs.

Scenery alone is breath taking and Mt. Cypress is only 1hr away for skiing in the winter.. (Whister a few hrs)

Capilano Bridge and the endless hiking trails... also the city's proximity to the border.

The Rock 101 website has a long standing song called 'ICBC Chop Shop Scandal'.

In the accident, Brendan was hit from behind and then pushed into a car in front of him. The at-fault driver fled -- and ICBC assigned fault to Brendan.

Classic ICBC. Always go for the cheap shot.

You know, don't feel overly sorry for this kid. Everyone knows that when you accessories on a car that you'll never get your money out them especailly from an insurance agent. And the fact it had new tires and a new engine doesn't increase the value of a car.

Maybe the should have thought twice before putting over 3 grand into a car that was only worth 2700 bucks.

What?? Someone makes dumb financial investment on a car? :D
Dumb I agree but that's a value judgement.

Even though they didn't sign a salvage waiver -- the paperwork that transfers the ownership from Brendan to ICBC -- ICBC had already sold the car.

That's it right there. ICBC didn't have the right to sell the car.
Now the kid will have to come up with bills to prove what he spent and even then, a 17 year old car isn't worth 3k.

Maybe he put the $3k in it because he couldn't afford payments on a new one. I've done the same in the past. $3k to keep a descent car going would pay for itself in about 8 months of not having a $400/mo payment.

Not disagreeing with the fact that the new engine would not significantly increase the value of the car, but it should not have been sold by the company without the proper paperwork.
