Good news, but it makes me think they are going to try to protect the drug trade more now.

It just means they are going to start putting more landmines and IEDs in the poppy fields....

Eh...not so good. We can always go Vietnam on them and start equipping napalm on our aircraft...(not sure if this is possible, but I'd rather waste napalm, then have soldiers move in minefields...)

No, using napalm will never happen in Afghanistan, the poppy fields are danger close to civilians. Its more likely the engineer and armour call signs will be called up to plough, or flail the fields and then they will turn around and pay the farmers for their lost crop.

And then Mr. Taliban comes back at harvest time to collect the produce and ends up killing the farmers because they had already paid them for their crops, months in advance. :(

Nah it will likely be the farmers planting the bombs as well as the crops.
