Seeing as how the Nutters have been going on about every little thing(Birth Certificate) no matter how inane, redoing the Oath makes a lot of sense.

I'm still not an Obama fan in any way, shape or form but as of noon Tuesday he was the President, like it or not!

BTW has he ended all wars, fixed the economy or cured cancer yet? I mean really, it's been almost 3 days! 8)

I honestly think people will end up being disappointed on how little he can change or "fix".

Me too. I have the same high hopes as a lot of other people, but I'm also realistic. The US has some big problems that will take a great deal of time and effort to fix and Obama certainly won't fix all of them and will probably make only a dent in the others. Nevertheless, give the outgoing administrations's penchant for failing at just about evertyhing, the US has nowhere to go but up.

The retaking of the oath has prescedence. I read the history of the first few vice presidents that took over after the death of a president just the other night. There have been more than one occasion where the oath was repeated so that there would be no doubts from anyone on the legality of the oath.

Only people that have nothing better to do than count every dot above the i's and crosses of ever t would even think of making an issue of it. It is silly at best since Obama was not the one that flubbed, but the supreme court justice.

Fox news speculated on the legality almost immediately.
