We welcome Roberto back, too bad the idiot filled hockey media blame all the Canucks woes on the backup goalies. Oh well, we can all listen to them blame the coach next.

I think that the backups have done a good job, Van hasn't fallen too far in the standings and they still are contenders. I'm betting all the fans are glad to have Luongo back though. Unfortunately I still hope they lose so my Flames can keep pulling ahead!
I think our backups have done very well, all of them, but when the rest of the players keep coughing up the puck in your own end or passing blindly in front of their own net, you can only expect the goalie to stop so many of those.
The major problem with the Canucks is teamwork. They seem to never have the whole team playing as one. Most games they have being getting great goal tending, but on the days the offense is getting great chances, the defense seems to take the day off, giving up the puck with poor clearing attempts, or standing around the goal just watching the play. And the days the defense won't let anyone over the blueline with the puck, the offense will just pass the puck around playing keepaway, but not getting any shots away. The only way the Canucks have any chance to make the finals is to consistently play as a TEAM.
Exactly Hyack....All this BS about the goal tending is just that, BS...everyone wants to either blame one player or expect one player to make the difference. Look at the Bruins...no super stars, just good team play for 60 minutes every game and the added bonus of good goal tending
Have to agree with you guys, I think our back ups did a mighty fine job....maybe we should start looking beyond the players and focus on behind the bench. Teamwork starts from the top down.

Either that or find a way to convince all the players to stick to the program, theres alot of talent on the Canucks team, no reason for a slump. Having said that...you could have a team filled with the most skilled players on the planet but if they won't buy in to the system that's in place then their skills are moot.
Very true...look at the Rangers for a decade or so..On paper..all the rest of the NHL didn't need to show up, the Rangers should have won the cup....several of those years..they didn't even make the playoffs
