Alright, this is getting too much, if it was any other middle east nation that pulled this shit we would be invading them in days. Something really needs to be done now...

Amani Abu Ramadan, a Canadian who lives in Gaza, said the situation is really bad.
Amani Abu Ramadan, a Palestinian that found Canada long enough for plastic citizenship who lives in Gaza, said the situation is really bad.

"It's absolutely crazy in Gaza right now," Ramadan told CTV's Canada AM on Thursday. "I can't get in contact with many of my family members in Gaza because of the phones that are down."

She said getting to the Erez border crossing, where many Canadians were evacuated from Gaza Strip earlier this month, is "near fatal."

"The Israelis are shooting at anything that is moving on the main highways or even on the side streets that might be like a small mini-bus, or a micro-bus, or a taxi," she said.

"Even they're shooting at ambulances and television crews."

WTF is "Amani Abu Ramadan" a so called "Canadian" doing there ?

and A Canadian lives in Canada, not Gaza. Unless we bought thats POS last night, if we did we need to return for full refund of 2 goats and a chicken ASAP.

Let's not forget that eyewitness testimony is grossly unreliable.

OK, I was on the fence but now I think the Israelis are tempting the rest of the world to do something about their actions.

With all that technology how do they "accidently" shell the UN?

"Ban said Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak has told him it was a "grave mistake.""

Ya, a mistake but not an accident.

How do you acidentally allow militants into a UN compound so they can shoot at the Isrealis?

Im holding judgement on this but it is not looking good for Israel, if there was fire comming from the compound it is those in charge of the UN compound at fault for allowing themselves to become a target. If the UN workers say there was no outgoing fire from the compound the UN will have to send a peacmaking mission in.

Even if that were true you still don't fire at the UN.

What military school did you go to that says that if you piss the entire world off you might gain some sort of advantage.

How about using the phone and calling the Secretary General and finding out WTF is going on instead of shelling people who are there to help both sides.

Remember Israel exists because of a UN resolution.

"On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, in favour of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel."

You are a frigging hypocrite if you think the UN is irrelevant yet support the UN approved creation of a Jewish state.

If militants somehow got into the compound then call the UN and ask them to help deal with it. I thought the Jews were a little more civilized then the Croats and the Serbs. This just proves that they are as bad or worse then all of them and the Palistianians.

If they had ROEs anything like Canada's they would be right to fire on the compound. Hamas is the one in the wrong firing from a neutral power compound full of non combatants.

*puts his arm chair general jacket on* What I would have done is pull out of range from the fire, annouce that "in one hour the compound will be captured, if attacked, fire will be returned." I would then capture the compound and hold it until I recieved an explanation on why militants were allowed into the compound. If told that they forced their way in, then it would be shown that Hamas kidnapped and detained several hundered non combatants. *takes his jacket off*

I bet the UN is regretting their 1948 decision now. They can condemn all they want, but they were the main instrument in creating this mess. They shouldn't be in Gaza, or anywhere else for that matter.
