A wicked combination of snow and cold blasted its way into Manitoba Sunday after setting record winds chills of -50 C in Saskatchewan the night before.

    Hey, look on the bright side. If it weren't for global warming it would have been alot colder :lol:

    I grew up in Northern Manitoba and the one thing we really didn't have all that much of was wind. It could be -30 and without the wind it was bearable. Now that I live in Saskatchewan it could be -20 with our usual wind and it's friggin brutal!

    I'm in Saskatoon and they arn't lying. I don't think I've ever been so cold. :P

    Winters up north weren't to bad because of the trees blocking out wind. It was nice until you got along the lake and then a slight breeze felt like it was peeling the skin off of your face.

    damn!...How would a person even dress for that!

    Canada goose parka,rabbit fur aviator hat,sealskin or beaver mitts,goggles.

    The same as you would dress for -40.
    Lots of layers and lots of fur,plastic disintegrates at that temperature so it's useless.
