    Hercs rock! I want to fly one some day or at least be at the controls for a bit.
    They needed a mile of strip and then some where I was at just to land.I think it's First air that has the only 2 commercial herc's in Canada.

    Heres a Herc landing at a camp a few miles from us.Anything that didnt come on the barge in the summer came on a herc.

    The ice on the lake he is landing on is over 8 feet thick here and this is late may.You can hear the sik sik peeping in the background.

    The lake itself is probably 170 feet deep.
