The investigative arm of the Canadian Forces is probing possible "inappropriate conduct" stemming from the death of a "presumed insurgent" in Afghanistan's Helmand province, military officials said Wednesday.
Its also in the Helmand, we don’t go into the Helmand unless we are supporting someone else. If you’re looking for something to satisfy your fantasies on the CF you will not find it in this story.
Nope, but in the story it says it is a two day Op. I have done a two day Op in the Helmand, so I have somewhat of an idea of what went on. I am privy to many things in the military Streaker, knowing that this story will end in a fizzle is probably one of them.

You may be right about the story fizzling, given who's conducting the investigation:
University of Ottawa professor Amir Attaran, who sparked Canadian military investigations into the alleged torture of detainees at the hands of Afghan authorities, expressed misgivings Wednesday about the ongoing probe.
Based on what he's seen of previous NIS probes related to the Afghan mission, Attaran said he believes the unit is too closely linked to the Canadian Forces to mount to a credible investigation.
At any rate, unless you personally witnessed the incident you know no more about what happened than I do.
You forget Gunnair, you and I are just sadistic murders who cannot be left to our own devices, lest we pillage the countryside. Murdering, raping and torturing any “Hadji” we can get our hands on, that whole image of "nice" soldiers is just propaganda. In reality we are evil evil beings praying for the chance we can go to war.
Oh, I'm sure you wouldn't.
It'll be interesting to see the details as they emerge.

Why do you take such glee with this?

I found Eisen's lame and self-serving attempt to dismiss the story to be very amusing.

Your right about that, for now.

And that causes you assume the worst?

Past history, I suppose.
Is Sapper's self-serving dismissal of the story any different than your self-serving assertion of the story?
